92 FXR V111 + 03 T-SPORT Anniversary 97"
Both of these bikes ended up in my shop the same week. The original plan was to build and keep the FXR for myself, but when the 03 T-SPORT landed, I thought how sick would it be if we did a winner's choice giveaway with both of these bikes? And so it began... the hustle to build not one, but TWO dream bikes in a month. I think we nailed it with both of them.

SHE HAD POTENTIAL
BEFORE: I like a clean FXR to start with. Pretty close to stock without a ton of clap. This one fit the bill... A nice clean canvas; no crust, no rust. Super clean frame and tins.
-
THE OL' FXR OIL CHANGE
Stripped her down to the frame and got her naked... decided that she needed a motor and tranny swap, and we may as well do a full re-wire while we're at it.
-
NESS + OEM-STYLE PAINT
I love the way these FXRs look with the OG Ness stuff... You can't go wrong with a retro fairing and side triangles with OEM-style paint. Dillon Proctor did the stripes.
-
S&S V111 + BAKER OD6
This FXR is powered by a big dog S&S V111 (crank-up rebuild by Til Death Cycles in Corona, CA) and a brand new Baker OD6 transmission. It's a monster.
-
FULL RE-WIRE M-UNIT
I figured that since we were doing a frame-up build, it made sense to do a full re-wire with a Motogadget m-Unit and all new Cycle Electric charging system. Why not?
-
PERFORMANCE PARTS
You have to upgrade the clutch when you drop in a big dog motor, so we went with a new Barnett Scorpion clutch to compensate for the added HP.
-
2003 LAST YEAR T-SPORT
This bike came to me damn near perfect-looking in show room condition. It was originally built by Big Al's Cycles in NorCal - These guys know what they're doing... but I wanted to add my spin on it.
-
SUBTILE MODIFICATIONS
There wasn't anything aesthetically wrong with this bike when I got it... But I think less is more, so I ditched a lot of the aftermarket stuff and added the hard-to-find OEM 100th Year Anniversary bling.
-
ANNIVERSARY BLING!
What's the use in having a 2003 Anniversary edition Harley if you don't sport any of the cool shit they came out with for these bikes?! I added the chrome dash with Anni plate and air cleaner cover.
-
LESS IS MORE
Other modifications included:
- Dyna Glide chin spoiler
- 16' recurve windshield
- Tuck and Roll Saddlemen
- OEM 13.5 DX/T rear shocks
- OEM mini passenger floorboards
- Anni air cleaner cover
- Chrome dash with Anni plate
-
THE 'OEM PLUS' LOOK
The formula:
OEM goodies: fairing, bags, shocks, paint + factory accessory options: mini passenger floorboards, Dyna chin spoiler + OG aftermarket parts: Thunderheader, seat, bars, LED lighting all around.
-
ONE-OF-A-KIND
I have to talk about the custom 11-spoke chrome mag wheels on this bike... These are a limited edition run manufactured by Lyndall for Unknown Industries. There were only 5 sets ever made. They're coupled with Lyndall rotors and PM calipers.
