2001 T-SPORT | 95" Built Motor (Vivid Black)
Recently completed for our 6th Giveaway, this 2001 Dyna FXDXT (T-SPORT) received a ton of updates. It came to us bone stock as a one-owner bike with 2,200 original miles. They only made about 800 units world wide in Vivid Black for 2001. Check out the transformation below on this page!

Giveaway #6 | 2001 T-SPORT | Built 95" Motor + Feuling Camchest kit
Bone Stock to Badass
Subtile upgrades with stock paint. This is OEM+ done correct! Tastefully modified while keeping the traditional stock look of the bike alive.

Giveaway #6 | 2001 T-SPORT | Built 95" Motor + Feuling Camchest kit
Clean & Classy
A little bit goes a long way... I probably do away with just as much as I add. The biggest trick to achieving a clean look is reducing the clutter... ditched the clunky reflectors, colored tail light / blinker lenses, and made the dull aluminum shine!

Giveaway #6 | 2001 T-SPORT | Built 95" Motor + Feuling Camchest kit
Quality Over Quantity
I focus on the quality of the build rather than the number of visible bolt-on aftermarket parts. The craftsmanship on the refurbished OEM obsolete parts -- powder, polish and paint is what makes this bike standout. The subtlety of the parts I do use is designed to show the quality of the build.

BONE STOCK!
BEFORE: This was a low miles (2,185mi), super clean, all original T-SPORT. Cleanest stock DXT I had ever seen. Paid up to get it too...

TEAR OFF THE UGLY
One of the first things I knew that I wanted to do was a front end rebuild - chrome trees, chrome fork lowers, new RaceTech internals, risers/bars, etc.

LED LIGHTING
I think a clean lighting system and tinted lenses is almost half of the clean-up on a bike like this... Simply reducing all of the different orang, red, white lenses.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Adding on NOS parts and a little polish can go along way. This T-SPORT looks like it came off the dealership floor yesterday.

95" TOP END
Since I am tearing apart the camchest, I usually like to take the opportunity to beef up the stock 88" cylinders and bore them out to a 95" with new Wiseco pistons.

CAMCHEST UPGRADE
The very first thing I do to every stock 99-05 Twin Cam is break open the camchest and pull out the stock tensioners. They go right in the trash.

2001 FIRST YEAR T-SPORT
This bike came to me damn near perfect-looking in show room stock condition, but it still takes a lot to build them this clean. I think it looks nicer than H-D's version.

SUBTILE MODIFICATIONS
A little polish and fresh chrome go a long way! I try to keep chrome where chrome came on the bike originally, and poilsh up the old tired aluminum. That combined with ditching the reflectors gets you a clean look.

DEALER ADD-ONS
Every T-SPORT I build comes complete with the dealer accessory add-ons that you could get back in the day from Harley. Passenger floorboards, toolbox, and chin spoiler.

The formula:
OEM goodies: fairing, bags, shocks, paint + factory accessory options: mini passenger floorboards, Dyna chin spoiler + OG aftermarket parts: Thunderheader, seat, bars, LED lighting all around.

LESS IS MORE
Nice and clean. I tend to stick with the original look of the stock bike - OEM paint and texture black drivetrain. You see a lot of guys powdercoat these T-SPORTs gloss black... I think that takes away from the authenticity of the model.

OEM OBSOLETE
The majority of the parts on these T-SPORTs are obsolete... you just can't get them anymore. And that means finding parts in good condition is rare. These bags are practically brand new.
